Before you buy

USB-C is a connector, not a display guarantee

The laptop port must support the required video capability. The listing specifies up to 4K at 60Hz with DP 1.4 and 4K at 30Hz with DP 1.2. Only the HDMI port provides video output; the USB-C data port is not a substitute for an HDMI or DisplayPort adapter.

Budget power for the hub

The manufacturer reserves 15W for hub operation, leaving up to 85W from a suitable 100W source for the laptop. A charger and cable are separate requirements. If your laptop normally needs more power, compare its supported charging profile before assuming the hub will replace its original supply.
