The selected black, single-port 30W model supports USB Power Delivery and is explicitly non-PPS. It may suit a device that accepts its supported PD output, but it cannot supply a charging mode that specifically requires PPS. A matching USB-C connector is only the first check.

Three checks before saying “compatible”

First, check the charging connector and cable. Second, check the charging protocol required for the mode you want. Third, compare the device’s power requirements with the charger’s supported output. A listing of compatible phone names does not establish that every named device reaches its highest advertised charging speed.

The selected ASIN is B087MFL8DM. Amazon Basics sells several chargers with different port counts, output ratings and charging support. Confirm the black 30W single-port non-PPS version on the live listing instead of transferring specifications from another model.

USB PD does not automatically include PPS

PPS is an additional capability within USB Power Delivery. Samsung documents PPS on its Super Fast Charging adapters. If your device requires PPS for a particular charging mode, this non-PPS Amazon Basics model does not meet that requirement. It may still charge the device using another supported mode, but we have not measured a model-specific charging speed.

The useful question is the exact charging mode you need, not whether the charger has a high enough number on the front. Check the phone manufacturer’s guidance and supported charger requirements. Do not interpret “up to 30W” as a promise that a particular phone will take 30W.

Cable and laptop requirements need their own check

Use a cable suitable for both the device and the charging task. A charging cable can have different data and video capabilities from another cable with the same connector. This guide does not treat a USB-C charging connection as evidence of display support or fast file transfer.

For a laptop, compare the manufacturer’s recommended supply with the charger’s 30W ceiling. A charger that physically connects might be insufficient while the computer is working, or it might recharge slowly. We do not establish universal laptop compatibility from the port shape. If reliable laptop power is the goal, use the laptop’s documented requirements.

Decide whether one port suits the trip

A single port is convenient when only one device needs power at a time. Count the devices you usually recharge together: phone, earbuds, tablet or computer. If two must charge overnight, plan a second charger or consider an appropriate multi-port model.

The foldable US-style plug is a packing feature. It does not establish that the plug fits the destination’s sockets. Check the physical adapter needs and the input-voltage label before travelling. Prices, delivery, seller and box contents should be confirmed on Amazon before purchase.

Common questions

Will it give every Samsung Galaxy its fastest charging mode?

No. If the desired mode requires PPS, the non-PPS selected charger cannot provide it. Check the requirements for your exact Galaxy model.

Does a 30W charger always deliver 30W to a phone?

No. The connected device, supported charging protocol, cable and operating conditions determine the power used.

Can it charge my phone and earbuds at the same time?

It has one USB-C output port, so it does not offer two independent simultaneous charging outputs.
