A case total counts extra charges. It does not describe how long the earbuds run continuously in your ears. For a journey without a convenient stop, use the single-charge figure. For several short commutes over a week, the case total becomes more relevant.

Published runtimes are manufacturer estimates, not our measurements. Noise cancellation, calls, volume, battery age and listening conditions can change the result. Soundcore gives separate P40i figures by mode; our selected P30i listing also separates Normal and ANC estimates. Comparing a Normal figure with an ANC figure can make two models look further apart than they are.

What the P40i battery advantage means

If you plan a long uninterrupted listening session with noise cancellation enabled, P40i’s longer published ANC runtime is a reason to put it on the shortlist. Leave a margin for real use rather than planning a trip to exactly match the advertised limit.

If your listening happens in short blocks, the extra headline hours may be less important than fit, controls and the current price difference. Check both live listings on the same day; this guide does not assume a permanent price gap. A longer specification is not a tested verdict on sound or call quality.

The phone stand is shared, and fit still matters

Both charging cases can act as a phone stand. Think about the thickness of your phone case, the angle you prefer and the surface where you will watch. We have not tested stand stability with your phone model. The presence of a stand does not establish that every phone-and-case combination fits.

Ear-tip fit affects comfort and the seal. Before making a final choice, check the included tip sizes, controls, return terms and whether you can install the soundcore app on your phone. These checks are useful even if both products have the same feature label.

Choose without inventing a listening test

For long ANC sessions, compare P40i first. For shorter listening blocks, compare the actual purchase prices and the functions you will use. If you take many calls, seek a relevant microphone demonstration or a personal trial; microphone counts and AI labels cannot substitute for testing in your environment.
