OUR VERDICT

Is it right for you?

MX Mechanical fits a desk where you want mechanical feedback with a low-profile shape and multi-device connectivity. This listing is the full-size Tactile version. A mechanical keyboard is still a personal feel and sound decision; compare the switch options before assuming the Quiet name means silence.

Before you buy

Choose the switch before the color

Logitech offers Tactile Quiet, Linear, and Clicky switch options, plus a separate Mini keyboard. Those names describe materially different configurations. The linked ASIN selects the full-size Tactile version. If you mostly type in a shared room, seek sound comparisons and check return terms before choosing.

Backlighting changes the battery calculation

The manufacturer publishes substantially different battery figures with and without backlighting. Treat illumination as part of your usage pattern when comparing runtime. USB-C charging is useful at a desk, but wireless connectivity and software compatibility still need to match the computer you use.
